The Yorkshire Terrier is a small dog breed of terrier type, developed during the 19th century in Yorkshire, England... ------------------------------------------------ 🔴SUBSCRIBE & Activate the BELL to be notified as soon we upload a new video. 👉 https://allterrierbreeds.com/terrierc... ------------------------------------------------ SUMMARY: ◾️ The yorkshire terrier is one of the smallest and cutest dog breeds in the world. ◾️ The Yorkshire Terrier also called the "Yorkie" originated in Yorkshire, a country in northern England. ◾️ In the mid-19th century many miners and workers from Scotland travelled to Yorkshire looking for work, and brought with them several different varieties of small terriers. ◾️ It is thought that Clydesdale, Paisley and Skye Terriers breeds are all part of its ancestry. ◾️ The Yorkie used to be taken down into mines and to the mills, to help control the amount of rats there. ◾️ Their small size and bravery enabled them to be used to hunt various other species of vermin that lived in dens and burrows hidden on the forest floor. ◾️ The Yorkies became well known for their bravery and courage to go after their prey. ◾️ During the Victorian era, Yorkies became a desirable pet with royalty and the wealthy people in part due to their reputation and that the small dogs were very on trend. ◾️ The Yorkshire Terrier breed type was defined in the late 1860 by a very popular show dog named Huddersfield Ben.
