Tragic Accident: Student Killed by Tipper Truck While Walking on Footpath in Kundapura

Kundapur 1/October (SO News) A youth identified as Dhanush, a resident of Nagor in the taluk, died on the spot after being hit by an out-of-control tipper lorry. The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon when Dhanush was returning home after finishing his college classes with two other friends when a tipper lorry suddenly came from behind and rammed Dhanush while climbing on the footpath. It is reported that Dhanush died on the spot, but two other friends who were accompanying him miraculously survived. After the incident, a video clip of the accident went viral on social media, in which the tipper lorry is seen moving forward, climbing on the sidewalk while trying to avoid hitting a car, running over a young man. Dhanush was a B.Sc (I) student in a government college in Koteswar. Kandapur Traffic Police has registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
