Completion of the first phase of the "Khair al-Tijara" Campaign.

After the earthquake that struck the region last February, and in fulfillment of our duty towards the affected families, the Free Trade and Industry Chamber of Syria launched a campaign to accommodate the victims under the name "Khair al-Tijara Campaign." A large number of traders, industrialists, and various segments of society contributed to the campaign, providing material and in-kind assistance to help their fellow citizens who were affected by the earthquake. The "Khair al-Tijara campaign" was a contribution from the chamber and its members to support their fellow citizens who were affected by the earthquake and to provide them with shelter. In our campaign, we targeted 200 families, including orphans and cases of social care, in addition to the poorest families who lost their homes due to the earthquake. The campaign management conducted visits to all families nominated by the Ministry of Development to benefit from the building project. They verified the documents of these families and ensured their compliance with the criteria set for accommodation. Then, the process of transferring these families from their old homes to their new homes began. By the grace of Allah, we have completed the accommodation of 60 families in 60 residential apartments, benefiting 130 orphans who lost their parents due to the earthquake. After two months, God willing, the construction work for the remaining part of the project will be completed to hand over new homes to 140 more families. We built the project in the new city of Sarmada near the Bab al-Hawa border crossing. We ensured the provision of various services to the project beneficiaries, as the area has extensive infrastructure including all the necessary facilities such as roads, sewage, water, electricity, gardens, shops, a school, a mosque, and a hospital. We continue to assist our people with everything we have, and we will not hesitate to extend our helping hand when they need our support.
