LATE GO AROUND: Jet2 Boeing 737-800 | Full Flight | Glasgow - Tenerife

✈ If you haven't already, please take a moment to subscribe and support the channel! ✈ It was a very dark and dismal day in Glasgow, with threatening storm clouds and rain fast approaching in all directions. The departure from runway 05 took us in an easterly direction, before a sharp turn to south-west to be on our way to Tenerife. It didn't take long to get right into those storm clouds, but the same could not be said to get out of them. Once we did brake through those horrible storm clouds, we found ourselves under the sun all the way down to Tenerife. Due to land 15 mins early, we began our approach. It was quite a windy day in Tenerife, and hence the approach was relatively unstable. It was less than 20 seconds before touch down, before those crosswinds took hold and forced us into a go around, due to the aircraft being so unsteady. We were kept well informed by the crew, and it was 10 mins later when we were on our Final approach into Tenerife South. The landing, though not so smooth, came not soon enough to many of the passengers on the flight, most of them applauding the crew at the end. Despite the very late Go Around, and Late Departure from Glasgow, we still landed 5 mins early, so quite a bit of time made up by the flight deck. All in all, the entire experience with Jet2 was very professional, and from check-in to baggage reclaim, a very smooth process.
