Villa Maria is located in a nice residential area near Skrea beach in Falkenberg. The building resembles a large cube, twisted into the ground. This means that all angles between ceilings and walls are 90 degrees. The brick follows the slope of the house, which gives a cool architectural effect. To achieve maximum light entry despite some transparency, a void in the middle of the building had to form an atrium. The atrium gives a large dimension to the house with exciting lines of sight. The choice of material interior is a mix of polished concrete floors and wood, ribbed ceilings in white glazed oak and painted walls in carefully selected colors.
