Rare In-Service Scania gets floored! 15850 VX62 CXD

Happy Monday everyone! You know what that means, it’s time for another banger, and on the cards today is a new type of bus and one which doesn’t see service often… 15850 VX62 CXD is a Scania N230UD Enviro400. It is usually spotted on the Wirral running the Stena-Line Ferry shuttles, but on this specific day, Rock Ferry depot decided to put it into public service on the Heswall 471 and 472 routes, which was an absolute bonus because 1. it was a tick off, and 2. it had a fast driver behind the wheel. These buses quite often have their kickdown disabled and the gearboxes in eco-mode, but this specific one appears to be in power mode, which is quite unusual for one of these N230UDs! In this video, you see it getting a rather good run through the Merseytunnel and around a bit of Liverpool and Birkenhead. Hope you enjoy the video!
