Let’s solve equations with variables on both sides! We will take a look at some examples and I will show you which steps to take first and second in order to set your equation up so you can solve algebraically! When you have equations with x on both sides, what step do you take first? I will show you step by step and multiple ways to do each problem! All of these examples have one solution. I will also show you how to solve equations with fractional coefficients. One of the biggest struggles my students have when they are first learning how to solve these types of problems is not knowing if they should start on the right or left, or with the constant or variable. I will show you two ways to solve each equation using different steps so you can choose which method works best for you!
