1 Year Update- Lophophora experiments. Fire, shock, chemical and magnetic field

Follow up to    • 4 Month UPDATE- Lophophora experiment...   I started the lophophora experiments using 60 seedlings to test different treatments with 12 seedlings for each including the control. The lophophora willamsii were repotted 2 months ago and all had their roots trimmed. There was 100% survival rate. They are now in 100% mineral soil which I use gravel. Fire treatment was 2-3 seconds of exposure to a direct lighter flame and 5-7 seconds direct exposure. Originally I said 5 and 10 seconds but I counted too fast. Fire treatment in the past seems to have induced flowering and possibly dwarfism in the graft. The shock treatment was not easy to apply because the arc was smaller than the diameter of the seedlings. I misted to increase electrical conductivity and shocked them all 3 times but some may have received less. Previous attempt just ended up killing them all. The chemical treatment is from an old paper and may not even work. Application will be 3-4 days until the end of the month. Magnetism via 3 small magnets should reduce stress on the seedlings and cause faster growth.
