Coastal style fish Pulimunchi is traditional dish prepared using variety of fish.. Here I have used my favourite fish Mackerel/Bangude ... I tried pulimunchi first time in Mangalore in an popular fish restaurant and fell in love with it... I tried to replicate chef's recipe as authentic as possible. Fish pulimunchi is best served with boiled rice and neer dosa.. Do try and let me how it goes in comment section!! Ingredients For first Marination 1) 250gms any variety of Fish(used fresh Mackerel/Bangude) 2) 1/2 tsp Salt 3) 1/4 tsp Turmeric For second Marination 1) 1 small Onion chopped 2) Marinated fish 3) 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds + 1tsp Cumin + 2tsp Coriander seeds+ 1/8tsp fenugreek+ 1/2tsp Pepper 4) 8-9 cloves of Garlic and 1 inch Ginger 5) 1spring curry leaves 6) 8-9 Byadgi Red chilies 7) small ball of tamarind soaked in water 8) Salt to taste 9) 1/2 cup water 10) 2tbsp Oil + 1tsp oil note: Spices can be increased depending on preference. Quantity of water can be increased or reduced depending on the consistency one like.
