Singapore Gardens By The Bay | Mid Autumn Lights Up Tour The Mid-Autumn Festival at Gardens by the Bay is a magical event that transforms the gardens into a wonderland of lights and colors. This year, the festival will take place from September 4 to September 22, 2024, with the lanterns lighting up the gardens every evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The festival features a variety of lantern displays inspired by joyful scenes of childhood playtime under the moonlit skies. Designed by local art illustrator Mr. Lee Kow Fong (also known as 阿果), these lanterns evoke nostalgia and celebrate traditional Mid-Autumn elements. Some highlights include: Dragonfly Lake: Lanterns inspired by the rising moon and water elements. The Meadow: Bubbles playtime at 8:15 PM and 9:15 PM nightly. Golden Garden: Lanterns inspired by Singapore’s iconic shophouses. Supertree Grove: Vertical Mid-Autumn lantern displays, where lanterns are tied to bamboo poles and erected several feet high. In addition to the lantern displays, the festival offers cultural performances, workshops, and fun carnival games, making it a perfect event for families to bond and create lasting memories. If you’re planning to visit, it’s recommended to travel via MRT and alight at Bayfront or Gardens by the Bay station, as parking is limited.
