Penelope was first introduced in Sly Cooper 3 Honor Among Thieves. After the gang’s surprising discovery, Penelope joined the team and helped them access the Cooper vault. Not only that, she got into a relationship with Bentley. Many fans in the series completely disliked the fact that a character who used to be an ally decided to go bad in Sly Cooper 4 Thieves in Time. I honestly liked the idea, but its delivery wasn’t the best. It felt too unexpected and the reason is because it wasn’t clearly explained. How did Penelope suddenly turn her back on the gang? If Clockwerk returns in Sly Cooper 5, could Penelope be the one to do so? Judging from her personality and words that she used in Sly 4, it makes it seem like she did talk to someone other than Le Paradox. We don’t have much information on Clockwerk’s brain.
