Brooklyn-based vocalist, composer and performance artist Holland Andrews uses voice, clarinet and electronics to construct soundscapes that fuse their love of opera, theater and jazz. With an abstract, distorted and completely unique vocal style, Andrews draws upon themes of vulnerability, healing and the disintegration of language. Their elegant performance for the online edition in May saw them foreground the human voice again, providing a beautiful live interpretation of their recorded work. Across four days from 7 - 10 April, Rewire will return to The Hague with Rewire 2022, its eleventh festival edition.
