Although there are thousands of ancient megalithic structures on the Iberian Peninsula, very few geoarchaeological studies have been done to analyse the provenance of the stones that make them up. A recent paper published in the journal Scientific Reports investigates the origins of the megaliths that were used to construct the Dolmen of Menga in Antequera.
