Spain''s Secretary of Tourism and Commerce Pedro Mejia, Prince Felipe and the Executive President of CABEI shaking hands STORYLINE: Spain''s Prince Felipe of Borbon ratified his country''s commitment towards maintaining commercial ties with Central America on Tuesday as he met with business leaders and El Salvador''s President Tony Saca. "The economic relations between our two countries have notably grown in the last few years," Prince Felipe said during an event in San Salvador. He said Spain and Central America are members of the same Iberoamerican community, and that they share a common lineage. "Spain is the main commercial associate to the European Union on Central American affairs," Prince Felipe said. The Prince encouraged Central American and Spanish business leaders to continue exploring new commercial exchanges. President Saca said there was no room to return to movements from the past, and that there was "no sign of a populist movement in this day and age." "I hope there won''t be any populist attempts in the years to come that try to take control of the industrial market. I think these types of moves are guaranteed to scare away investors in any country.," Saca said. During his short visit to El Salvador, Spain''s Prince will also visit the Spanish tuna company Calvo''s factories at the La Union port on the Gulf of Fonseca.
