Yet, one of the greatest challenges that faces his body of work today is the inability of academics and gender studies scholars to treat his work as seriously as the works of acknowledged feminist writers. Fantasy literature struggles with this bias in general, but the loss to feminist studies by ignoring Pratchett’s novels is singular.
