Amazed by HAMPI 🇮🇳 Karnataka India Solo Travel Vlog

I finally made it to Hampi - a small town in Karnataka known for it's many ruins and being an UNESCO World Heritage Site. I'd heard so many great things about Hampi that I HAD to visit despite it being a little more difficult to reach. I took a long overnight bus from Goa to Hampi before spending a relaxing few days in this gorgeous town. I started the day by getting breakfast at Old Chill Out Ganesh Restaurant which was so good! They even had amazing iced americanos (my favorite coffee)! From there I started exploring some of the 1,600+ temples in Hampi, India! The first one I headed to was the most famous one: Virupaksha Temple. It's directly in the center of Hampi and I saw it all lit up when arriving off my night bus. I had to leave my shoes at the door before entering, but it was gorgeous! It was also the first temple where I personally saw an elephant inside the temple. I then walked into the huge Hemakuta Hill Temple complex. While exploring Hemakuta Temple, I stumbled upon the Kadalekalu Ganesha Temple. I didn't hear about this one before finding it, but it was so cool!! I loved all the intricate carvings on the columns as well as the giant Ganesha monolith statue! Next to the first big Ganesha, I found another: Saasivekaalu Ganesha. While it wasn't as impressive as the one before, it was still really cool to see! After checking that out, I crossed the street to the old Krishna Bazaar ruins. Across the street again was the Krishna Temple - another gorgeous, intricately decorated temple! It was really hot so I decided to sit down in the temple grounds for a little and relax before continuing. 5 minutes from there I went to the Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. It was also amazing and really unique! I loved how there were so many temples just in walking distance from my guesthouse in the middle of Hampi!! From there I walked 15 minutes back to the center of Hampi to see the Hampi Bazaar. The Hampi Bazaar actually has two parts: the old street full of ruins from one of the biggest bazaars of its time as well as the area that is the current 'shopping street' in Hampi. I walked down the 750 meters of the Hampi Bazaar before turning down the side street to the river. A couple minutes down the path and I arrived at the Kampa Bhupa Marga riverside pathway. It's a gorgeous walk along the river in Hampi full of more temples, little cave pathways, river boats, and cute kids! After walking along the river for a little, I checked out the Pushkarni Temple which used to be full of water. I think it still is during rainy season? But when I visited there was no water, although it was still gorgeous. I bought some overpriced clothes (even after over 2 months in India and years in Thailand I can't bargain to save my life 😭). After a little break at home (to edit) I walked along the old Hampi Bazaar to the giant monolithic Nandi bull statue before starting the hike up Matanga Hill for sunset. There are multiple ways to climb up Matanga Hill, but I chose the path next to the bull statue. The views were gorgeous!!! Although the stairs were scary and the monkeys even scarier. It was a great ending to my first day in Hampi, Karnataka, India!!! --------------------------------------- 📧 BUSINESS INQUIRIES: [email protected] SUPPORT THE CHANNEL: 🥰Memberships:    / @nataliespassport   (make sure to hit the 🔔 notification bell 🔔 ) 🥰Buy Us a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/natalies... 🥰Direct Donation: paypal.me/nataliehoffman22 FOLLOW OUR SOCIALS: 📸 Instagram:   / nataliespassport   ⭐ Facebook:   / nataliespassport   ✨ TikTok:   / nataliespassport   👩‍💻 Blog: https://nomadlifeforme.com/ AFFILIATES: 🛒 My Favorite Travel Products: https://www.amazon.com/shop/nataliesp... 🦠 Genki Travel Insurance: https://genki.world/with/537 🎶 Music (30 days free): https://share.epidemicsound.com/ifx54o --------------------------------------- 00:01 Intro 00:34 Breakfast in Hampi 01:40 Virupaksha Temple 03:55 Hemakuta Hill Temple 05:17 Kadalekalu Ganesha Temple 06:38 Saasivekaalu Ganesha 07:17 Krishna Bazaar Hampi 08:29 Shri Krishna Swamy Temple 10:13 Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple 12:02 Walking Through Hampi 12:23 Hampi Bazaar Ruins 14:03 Kampa Bhupa Marga 16:08 Hampi Round Riverboats 17:28 Pushkarni Temple 18:52 Hampi Bazaar Shopping Street 19:21 My Terrible Bargaining Skills 20:29 Monolithic Nandi Bull Statue 20:59 Matanga Hill Sunset Hike 22:17 Scary Stairs at Matanga Hill Hampi 22:59 Monkeys Attack 24:42 Hampi Sunset 24:52 Virupaksha Temple at Sunset #hampi #karnataka #indiatravel #incredibleindia #unesco #solotravel
