Welcome to a new collaboration featuring Raíces Jazz Orchestra’s music. This time, our arrangement of Eye of the Hurricane is performed by the Power Horns. An amazing band based in the Netherlands and led by Felipe Castro, Oscar Cordero and Pablo Martínez. It also features an array of amazing players based in Europe and the US. This is a great example of what can be done with our music. In this version the solo sections were extended. Tony Succar is on timbales and yours truly on lead alto sax. An Afro-Venezuelan percussion section with vocals was added at the end. When we wrote this music our dream was that it’d be performed all over the world. This is a dream come true. Bienvenidos a una nueva colaboración con la música de Raíces Jazz Orchestra. Esta vez, nuestro arreglo de Eye of the Hurricane es interpretado por Power Horns. Una banda increíble con sede en los Paises Bajos liderada por Felipe Castro, Oscar Cordero y Pablo Martínez. También participa un grupo de increíbles músicos con sede en Europa y EEUU. Este es un excelente ejemplo de lo que se puede lograr con nuestra música. En esta versión la sección de solos se extendió. Tony Succar en los timbales y Pablo Gil en saxofón alto.
