John Rustad accuses NDP of 'outright lies' amid claims BC Conservatives plan to cut health by $4B

BC Conservatives Leader John Rustad has accused the BC NDP of telling “outright lies” about his health plan. Speaking to NowMedia video host Jim Csek on Friday, the Nechako Lakes MLA said BC’s governing party “cannot defend their health care policies” and so have resorted to “fear mongering” instead. Premier David Eby said on Friday that Rustad’s plan would mean “cutting $4 billion” from the health system, resulting in “longer wait times, fewer staff, fewer doctors, fewer people to clean the hospitals, closures of facilities.” Parliamentary Secretary for International Credentials Ravi Parmar also made that claim on Friday, adding: "At a time when we should be investing more in health care in British Columbia, John Rustad and the Conservatives are proposing taking money away from our health-care system.” Full story https://www.kelownanow.com/watercoole...
