🌟 Mediums I’ve successfully rooted roses using the following mediums. This time, I’m comparing the rooting speed of each: 1. Akadama Bonsai Soil 2. Sand 3. Vermiculite 4. Lava Rock 5. Perlite 6. 2/3 Perlite + 1/3 Coco Coir (my usual medium mix) The mediums for this test are in 3-6mm particle sizes. You can find Akadama soil on Amazon US, while the rest are usually cheaper at local nurseries. 🌟 Key Points for Cuttings 1. Select strong, high-activity branches (if unsure, choose branches that have just finished flowering). The cutting should have plump nodes. Avoid overly thin branches, as they tend to grow slower later on. 2. Keep it sterile as much as possible. 3. Maintain moisture. 4. Faster wet-dry cycles lead to faster rooting. 🌟 Environment I place my cuttings in a misting area with 30% shade. Too much sun or high temperatures in summer can lead to bacterial growth, which may cause the cuttings to develop black stem rot. I mist them for 4 minutes each, twice a day, morning and evening. 🌟 Cuttings I won’t go into the details of cutting preparation here. There are plenty of tutorials on Youtube for that. ✅介质 以下几种介质我都曾经扦插过月季，并且都有成功生根，这次主要对比生根速度： 1. 赤玉土 Akadama Bosai Soil 2. 河沙 Sand 3. 蛭石 Vermiculite 4. 火山石 Lava Rock 5. 珍珠岩 Perlite 6. 2/3珍珠岩 Perlite + 1/3椰糠 Coco Coir（我平时常用的介质组合） 这次测试的几种介质是3-6mm的颗粒大小，赤玉土🇺🇸亚马逊上可以买到， 剩下几种本地苗圃买更划算。 ✅扦插的几个要点： 1. 选择健壮的活性高的枝条（如果不知道怎么判断，选择刚开完花的枝条），拥有饱满的芽点，不要选太细的枝条，太细的花后期生长速度比较慢 2. 尽量保持无菌 3. 保湿 4. 干湿循环快生根快 ✅环境 我的扦插放在喷淋区，有30%的遮阳，夏天太晒温度高的话容易滋生细菌导致扦插黑杆，喷淋是早晚各4分钟。 ✅插穗 插穗的处理这里不过多说明，Youtube上搜索能搜索到很多插穗处理的教程。
