She’s already been jumping at home, but this outing was an experiment to see if she’s ready to make a return to eventing—or if she’s happier sticking to dressage. Bear’s known for being a bit spicy, so the big question was: would she be wild, or enjoy being back out there? Well, let’s just say it was a little bit of both! I was joined by my friend Rhaea, who was schooling her horses, along with Mum (aka Hobbit) and Han, so we made it a bit of a group outing. As always, Bear kept us on our toes, but she surprised me in ways I wasn’t expecting.
