Drive My Car! Ukulele cover with chords - The Beatles - easy to play

Drive My Car! A song by The Beatles, written in 1965, primarily by Paul McCartney, with lyrical contributions by John Lennon. In a Beatles frame of mind these days! I'm not sure why, but I'll ride it out for as long as it's there! So...for the 2nd week in a row, I'm tackling a Beatles tune. This time... a lively little ditty, which was apparently a very sticky writing session between Lennon & McCartney. But, thankfully they got there, and the result is Drive My Car! I hope you'll enjoy my ukulele version of this Beatles classic! * Please feel free to like/subscribe. Thank you for listening! xo Key of D (original key!) INTRO: D7 VERSE 1: (same chords for all verses) D7 G7 Asked a girl what she wanted to be D7 G7 She said baby, can't you see D7 G7 I wanna be famous, a star of the screen A But you can do something in-between CHORUS: Bm G7 Baby you can drive my car Bm G7 Yes I'm gonna be a star Bm G7 Baby you can drive my car A D G A And maybe I'll love you VERSE 2: I told that girl that my prospects were good And she said, "Baby, it's understood Working for peanuts is all very fine But I can show you a better time" (CHORUS) A D7 Beep-beep, beep-beep, yeah! INT: D7 G7 D7 G7 D7 G7 A (CHORUS) VERSE 3: I told that girl I can start right away When she said, "Listen babe, I got somethin' to say I got no car and it's breaking my heart But I've found a driver and that's a start (CHORUS) A D7 OUTRO: Beep-beep, beep-beep, yeah!
