Nobels ODR mini vs ODR 1 | Comparison Demo by Jimmy Lin

Lots of people ask for the comparison video for these pedals. Here's a quick demo of two awesome overdrive pedals from Nobels. ODR-mini and ODR-1. In my opinion, one of the best sounding overdrive pedal in the market now! In this video, my basic tone is using the NUX MG-20 multi effect for the clean tone, stereo delay, and reverb. I choose the Bassman style amp sim combine with a 2*12 British style cab. Stays very clean for single coil pickups, a little bit break up using the humbucker pickup. As you can tell, these two pedals sounds very similar to each other. The mini one just has a little bit more mid range, sounds smoother using certain settings. Not a huge difference. I know some people will struggle for which one should they buy. Here's my suggestion: If you want to use it only as a crunch style gain pedal combine with your clean amp, go for the ODR-1. If you need it to be a gain boost style pedal, go for the mini one. If you need both situations, I will still choose the mini. Because the ODR-1 as a gain boost pedal, I'm not so happy about it. Doesn't tight up your gain tone very much. ( Just my opinion ) The tone will get bigger, but a little bit loose to my ears. Good news is you can combine two pedals together as I did in the video. Works great!! Overall, I highly recommend these great overdrive pedals from Nobels. If you want more information about these, please visit the Nobels' official website: https://nobels.de/
