2024 Women s Open Trials

On 12 to 14 January 2024 the TuksFootball Women's Programme hosted trials for young girls and women of all ages. The aim was to bring players into the program who could complement the current squads in the different divisions; those being: - Under 13 and Under 15 teams participating in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) - Promo Team competing in the SAFA Tshwane promotional league - Reserve Team competing in the SAFA Tshwane Regional League. The objective for the 2024 season is to win promotion to the provincial Sasol league. - Senior Team competing in the Hollywoodbets Super League. In this video is some footage from the trials and an inter view with the Head Coach of Women's Football Maud Khumalo who gave her view on how the trials went. Of the 419 players who were present at the trials, 153 were selected. All the players under the age of 13 are automatically placed in the Under 13 program and the rest will still undergo a further three-week assessment and those who pass the assessment will then be placed in any of the above teams. We would like to thank all the players who came through to the trials as well as parents for the support.
