This archive footage of Leningrad contains historical stock footage of Smolny Institute, Saint Isaac's Cathedral, Bronze Horseman, The Neva, Peter and Paul Fortress, Trinity Bridge, Hotel Leningrad, Church of the Savior on Blood, Peterhof Palace, Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) and more. These are classic 8mm home movie footage, probably shot during a family trip. In this Leningrad archive footage you can see the second-largest city in Russia after Moscow. It is situated on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. The city had a population of roughly 5.6 million residents as of 2021.
