Nvidia Shield TV - Why I can't have Netflix with 5 1 Audio Surround

(23/03/2018) Clarification = The Nvidia Shield TV SUPPORT Dolby Digital (AC3) o Dolby Digital Plus (EAC3) format BUT in my case my reciver doesn't have EAC3 support format (and HDMI), so as Netflix work with EAC3, I can't have 5.1 surround audio. (My revicer only work with DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1) My Nvidia Shield TV is connected via SPDIF (TOSLINK or Optical Audio) to my reciver (using a HDMI to SPDIF Audio Converter) My reciver doesn't have HDMI In Put. I know that SPDIF does not have the ability to trasport EAC3 Format. That's why I say in the video that the Nvidia Shield TV doesn't Support EAC3 or Dolby Digital Plus. Nvidia shield TV should have a CONVERTER from Dolby Digital Plus TO Normal Dolby Digital. For example as you can see in the video, the Xbox One S have a CONVERTER from DD+ to DD because THEY PAY THE LICENSE FOR THE CONVERTER. I can have Netflix on the Xbox One S with Surround audio because the console send the audio to the reciver in Normal Dolby Digital even in DTS!!! So IF you want have 5.1 in Netflix or another Streaming service, your Nvidia Shield Should be connected to your reciver via HDMI and your reciver must have Dolby Digital Plus support (or a converter in it). Then your reciver can be connected to your tv to have image. Thanks for reading this.26/03/2018
