Pinter Review Part 2 - All-Grain Rebrew - Brew Dudes

We retry the Pinter brew system but this time we put our own all-grain recipe in it using fresh yeast! John wanted to take advantage of the cask like properties of the Pinter so he brewed up an English Bitter using his all-grain system, pitched Windsor Ale yeast, and let it rip. The beer came out as we'd expect flavor wise. There was no real signs that it wasn't fermented with his normal method (i.e. in a fermentor then transferred to keg). We think this device hold lots of promise as an ease of entry brewing tool. You need to be a little aware of how fermentation works and perhaps modify the standard Pinter instructions some. Pinter wants the process to be easy but also fast. We have found that extended the expected fermentation period out a few extra days is good insurance for under fermented wort. It also helps the beer condition/mature in a positive way as well. We will probably do a few more 1 gallon runs in this thing as its a quick and fun way to get cask style beer at home.
