Bamboo culture in the west: Kirsten Daly at TEDxBellingen

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What if you woke up, in Australia and bamboo was an intricate part of your culture - enjoying its 10,000 different uses, knowing this fastest growing and renewable natural resource on the planet (besides Ocean Algae) was creating a green more balanced world and green economy. You exhale a sigh of relieve that the world today (the future) is way more secure than what you experienced 10 years ago in 2013. You just can't believe it doesn't take long to change a culture, and change a world for the better! Kirsten Daly has 15+ years experience in corporate and government organisational and culture change in roles such as management, coach and facilitator. Her tree change to the Bellingen Shire awoke a desire to work WITH nature to achieve amazing things. Her 'corporate' experience has helped shape a new industry and bridge the gap between this raw-unused plant called Bamboo with the average person on the street. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
