Viewing Creation As A Temple | The Plan of Salvation

This video is part of a series on the Plan of Salvation as it is presented in the temple endowment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS, Mormon). In this video, we discuss creation. Elder Bruce R. McConkie taught that one of the main purposes for studying the accounts of creation, is to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The connection between Creation and Atonement becomes more apparent when we approach the creation account as a cosmological temple. Each day of creation can be compared to different parts of the temple. On each day of creation, God progressively builds his cosmological temple as a place where his presence can dwell. One of the main purposes of a temple in ancient Israel, was to perform sacrifice.
