The Grey Goose encounters the basher, Sam Burnett, and his accomplice, James. They are eventually captured, with the help of Inspector Ford and Charlie Austin. The Grey Goose claims to be a lock and safe expert and promises to prove that he did not commit the bashing at Lindenall and to identify the real culprit.
