PROS: Beachside Specific=nice boardwalk to beach; beautiful sunrise/sunset; shorebirds were mating; tent only area; deer on beach; newly painted roads and parking spots; new bathhouse (nicest one Larry has ever seen); dump station close; washing machines. The Park=hiking and mountain biking trails; Civil War Fort (Riverside campground closer); old ruins; friendly staff; close to historic downtown; dog friendly (accept boardwalk & beach) CONS: Our beachside spot was only 30 amp & no sewer hookup; bugs/no-see-ems; no dogs allowed on boardwalk or beach; lots of jellies on beach; beachside has few spots & only 1 gave privacy; poor internet; if shorebirds are nesting, parts of beach may be closed Lighthouse Tours: https://www.fbfl.us/474/Amelia-Island... INTERNET The cell service in the beach camping area was weak on ATT, we had to use our 25 foot antenna to get a decent signal.
