A street cleaner comes to clean up the city streets and finds bags full of playful paper, magical books, airplanes and a flying helmet! Though he's stuck being a lowly street cleaner, he dreams of flying and in the end, realizes his dream. Well ... sort of. Joe Dieffenbacher (aka Nakupelle) transforms a boring job into a playground full of imaginative and absurd fun. Paper Work features silent comedy, visual gags, circus skills, slapstick, magical effects, object theatre, puppetry and clowning. Joe Dieffenbacher's solo shows have been featured at top festivals in Europe and the UK, in Asia and North America. He’s collaborated with British pop sensations Take That, and was featured in the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics Closing Ceremonies. He was Director of Clown Conservatory at the Circus Center in San Francisco, Circus Skills Director at the Scottish National Opera in Glasgow, Physical Theatre Director at Shakespeare’s Globe and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, both in London.
