This is such a wonderful performance, featuring some amazing belts, great riffs & runs, and beautiful interpretations of this melody. There’s lots of great things we could learn here, how he uses his breath, where he chooses to clip notes, which he chooses to leave long. Overall a very tasteful interpretation of this song and yet another one that Gabriel has destroyed. I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player, music educator, and vocal coach local to New Orleans. I have two degrees in jazz/music education and work professionally playing music.
