Malaska Golf // L to L and Pivoting the Club - What Makes Toe-Deep Divots?

This comment from a malaskagolf.com member asks about the steepness of the club coming through impact and whether or not creating deep-toe divots are a result of swinging in to out. He says: My primary task is rehinging in my L to L practice and full swing and I'm happy with the quality of strike but when I'm brushing the ground in preshot the divot is super thin like the toe is hitting with a high handle. The face on video shows what appears like a LOT of fore arm rotation. Also a lot of solid straight but slight pulls with longer clubs. Is this from my "lack of pushing away?" In understanding how the club pivots from L to L, combined with the rotation in your body, you can get a better sense for how you work the club through the ball. Knowing where and how the pivot feels is very important. Start with getting a feel for the pivot with your right hand, working off your back hip. Then, put two hands on the club and work on the pivot as you rotate your body. As a malaskagolf.com member, you can post your comment or question on any video on the site.
