Traditional Embroidery: Wendy Schmid in conversation with Yvette Stanton

In celebration of the inaugural Roma Field Traditional Embroidery Competition exhibition, Wendy Schmid, a past president of The Embroiderers' Guild NSW, is in conversation with Yvette Stanton, embroidery book author and embroidery historian, about traditional embroidery. The competition is named for the highly respected early guild member and teacher, Miss Roma Field, who specialised in traditional embroidery. An exhibition of competition entries will be at Gallery 76, The Embroiderers' Guild NSW, 76 Queen Street, Concord West, NSW Australia, from 8th October until 30th October 2022. While this conversation was recorded before the announcement of the prizes in the 2022 competition, on 8th October at the exhibition opening, Yvette Stanton was announced as the winner in the Tutors category, and Robyn Haug was the winner in the General Members category.
