Upon Them Hath Light Shined

Deep in the heart of Southern Africa is "something the heart loves". That's what the name CHIDAMOYO Mission means. It was established under the great Chief Goremusandu Dandawa in 1961, and continues as a shining light to serve people who come from many miles around. The 84-bed hospital is nationally recognized and the educational program is highly regarded. This is all done in the name of Christ, to the glory of God. The original production was done locally in 1968 on 16mm film, with some of the footage filmed from a Cessna 180 aircraft that was used to serve other medical facilities along the great Zambezi Valley among the Mashona and Batonga peoples. This 18 minute program is just a glimpse into the beginnings of establishing a mission in a remote region of what is now Zimbabwe, Africa.
