(35) Adding Grub/Cap Screws on a Schlage SC1 Mortise Cylinder for easy pinning

In this video I walk thru how to add grub/cap screws to the pin holes of a Schlage SC1 Mortise Cylinder. I got the Mortise Cylinder from Sparrows and I wanted to make it so that I didn't constantly have to disassemble the lock to replace the pins. That said, having the knowledge and ability to disassemble locks in order to re-pin them is a really good skill so I still recommend fully disassembling practice locks that have grub/cap screws when re-pinning. You can then use the grub/cap screw if you make a mistake and only need to remove a single or couple of pins. It is also really handy when doing progressive pinning as it makes it easier to add a single pin to progress with. 0:00 Intro 0:14 What is a practice lock 0:39 Let's get the cap off! 3:30 Let's thread the pin holes! 10:30 SORRY! 10:40 Let's make sure the grub/cap screws fit! 11:52 One of the issues with using grub/cap screws 13:17 Repinning the lock (Sorry, forgot to change the focus) 17:25 It's alive! 17:44 Outro I am just a newbie in the locksport/lockpicking world. I am not a professional and only have been in this hobby for a few months at this point. Let's keep lock sport legal! Only pick locks that you own and do not use!
