These small, succulent plants are native to South Africa and can thrive in a wide range of climates. 1. Haworthia Sun Requirements Haworthias prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. If the leaves start to turn red, that means the plant is getting too much sun and should be moved to a shadier spot. 2. Haworthia Watering Haworthias are drought tolerant and can go long periods without water. When watering, allow the soil to dry out completely between watering. Water deeply, then wait for the water to drain all the way through the pot before watering again. Overwatering can cause Haworthias to rot, so it's important not to water too often. 3. Temperature and Fertilization Requirements Haworthias prefer warmer temperatures and should not be exposed to temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. They don't need much fertilizer.
