Welcome to Madsen Farms, a family operated cattle and grain farm. Over the last four generations our family has worked to put food on your table, and now we want to show you exactly what that looks like. Since we were incorporated in 2010 our farm has grown, farming 7,000 acres both rented and owned. We only crop 6,500 of those, with the remainder being hay and pasture land. Running three John Deere S680s at harvest as well as two Bourgault air drills, with twin tanks pulled by John Deere Four Wheel Drives. Our farm is ran using all John Deere machinery, with the exception of a Deutz tractor which Grandpa Madsen bought brand new. We have a growing herd of 120 head of black, white face Angus, with 26 of those being purebred black angus. All our cattle are at the property we call “Belways”. Here we want you to enjoy learning about how our farm runs smoothly. While seeding and harvest are the busiest, there are many jobs that happen throughout the year to ensure our operation runs smoothly, like a “well oiled machine”.
