Deadline day in real life is the crucible on which so many key transfers are forged, just ask Fabrizio Romano. Football Manager did just that and has set out to improve upon the deadline day experience within FM itself. I break down whether these changes coming in FM22 will take the end of the transfer window from the usual afterthought to something every FM player looks forward to… or dreads. The transfer deadline day deserves to be something special in Football Manager because it is something that is so special in real life. It has had untapped potential for so long, I often breeze through it without a single bit of pressure or notable news appearing. I am skeptical that it can take such a big jump from that to a huge new feature in FM22, but we shall see. I have to say the first feature set they released was definitely more promising on the surface, I hope I’m able to give some more high grades.
