I stayed for about one week at the Hotel La Siesta in Playa de Las Americas. Arrived about 2300PM at the Tenerife Sur Airport. Took evening public bus no. 711 from the airport to the bus stop at Zentral Centre in Playa de Las Americas. The bus stops at the airport are just outside the arrival and departure entrances. The bus journey took about 1 hour 30 minutes with several stops along the way. I walked for about 5 minutes from the Zentral Centre to Hotel La Siesta passing by the Spring Hotel Vulcano, Hotel Best Tenerife and Spring Hotel Bitacora. Hotel La Siesta is just next to the Spring Hotel Bitacora. The hotel location is good because of its proximity to seaside and several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes, shopping centres, bus stops (at Zentral Centre) etc. I took public buses from the Zentral Centre to several destinations (Los Gigantes, Costa Adeje, Tenerife Sur Airport, etc.) in Tenerife. The entrance, reception, lounges, bar, restaurant and swimming pool areas of the hotel are beautiful. The hotel's staffs were polite, friendly and helpful based on my experiences. The Standard Room, with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool area, where I stayed was clean and tidy. The room cleaning staff cleaned our room and changed dirty towels etc. daily or when requested. The food and drinks at the restaurant were yummy!. There were several selections of good food buffet style during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hot drinks and fruit juices were provided with breakfast. I bought some drinks at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. The hotel is very close to the pick-up and drop-off point, in front of the Hotel Best Tenerife, for free buses to visit attractions such as the Jungle Park, Aqualand, Siam Park and Siam Mall, to name a few. There are some taxis you can take from the front of the hotel. There is also a ATM inside the hotel. The water of the outdoor swimming pool was warm when I swam there. The hotel has a room to leave my bag after I checked-out prior to leaving the hotel to the airport.
