My student, MAital, plays Bach's Invention in C Minor. Listen to how the hands imitate each other. This is what happens in Inventions. This is an invention with two voices, that is, there is a second voice that imitates the first voice. Bach also has inventions in 3 voices (also called Sinfonias) with extra imitations.
