Lancaster services - M6 - The Pennine Tower!!! 65 ft high!!!

Hello and welcome to the motorway man. Good to see you again. Today I am at Lancaster services which used to be known as Forton services . It opened in 1965 and as you can see is home to the 65 feet high Pennine Tower. Sadly, it closed to the public in 1989 so we won't be going up there today. We will however see all there is to see on a tour of the Northbound and southbound sides as well as the bridge 😃. Also, from the bridge you can view some nice scenery , that being because the service station is within the Forest of Bowland. I ever show you the tallest peak in the Forest. The Pike being 1355 feet tall. Lancaster services is operated by Moto and is designed be the same architect who designed Hilton park services.
