Ayyappa Paniker Foundation proposes to hold a Mobile Movie Movie contest where all the college students across the globe can participate and enrich their talents to the world.This creative contest is intended to popularize Ayyappa Paniker's poetic contribution among the youth. The poem selected from the texts uploaded on the website has to be visually 'translated', re-imagined in the new medium. The film can also be a free creation inspired by one of the poems that has to be clearly mentioned in the credits, in which case the film's links with the poem should be recognizable or self-evident. Let us make it clear that the film is NOT meant to be the documentation of the recitation or performance of the poem by a performer or a group pf performer though the lines of the poem or visuals from such a performance can be strategically deployed as an organic part of the film where it is aesthetically justified. In short what we look forward to is a complete rebirth of the poem in the visual medium using relevant stills and imaginative moving images.
