CAWAG HEXA Sitio Cawag Settlement | Zambales 25 March 2023 Feel the fear and do it anyway. Route: ✅ Mt. Balingkilat (1,100+ MASL) ✅ Mt. Bira-Bira (570+ MASL) ✅ Mt. Naulaw (530+ MASL) ✅ Mt. Dayungan (900+ MASL) ✅ Mt. Cinco Picos Junction (650+ MASL) ✅ Mt. Redondo (610+ MASL) Start: 2:48 AM Finish: 7:53 PM Elevation Gain: 1949 m Distance: 23.5 km I started to fear the Cawag Hexa when I did the Mt. Balingkilat traverse to Nagsasa Cove in February 2018. Last Saturday, my need to roam prevailed and I decided to face my fear. The timing at the start of the dry season is just perfect for exploring the infernal mountains of Zambales, haha. The circuit was completed in 17 hours and i hate it and i love it at the same time! I'm thankful for the company I had along the trail and I'm gonna mention a few of them here. Thank you Juphe for the awesome drone shots, Lestericalina Mangune Icalina for the pep talk, and Kingarthur Miranda for setting the pace from Dayungan to Redondo. The strategy worked and we reached fhe last peak before sunset. Congratulations to all who soldiered on and showed true grit!
