This stretch is from #leh to #kargil Ep 4. At 13.40 minutes the sediments on my windscreen was due to a landslide that took place while I was driving. It took place on my left hand side. It wasn't a major one. Minor stones, mud and gravel. Though it sounded heavy as it started coming onto the left hand side of the vehicle body. I haven't shot much on this route as there were military installations and convoy/s enroute as some part was a altered route. Dash camera was also switched off as it wasn't needed much on this stretch. I was on severe AMS (accute mountain sickness) here ever since I reached and departed from Sarchu. This drive was above 250 kms from my hotel in Leh to a base in Kargil. Unable to give exact distance for obvious reasons. I was out of network from Sarchu on cellular network unless I had wifi /Hotspot at the hotel and military base. I got network on my phones only when I had reached Pathankot on my return journey. As mentioned in my opening addressal of this video only Jio post paid and Airtel post paid will work in locations beyond Sarchu and up to(not limited) to Pathankot. Jio prepaid didn't work. Vodafone prepaid and post paid won't work either. Note : if you aren't mentally strong ...do not attempt a Solo road trip here especially if you are without network for days and heĺl lot of kilometers. Make sure to carry daimox tablets and a oxygen cylinder/s . Many people had told me my vehicle won't make it and if It does...it will give issues. Fact is, I didn't even have to top off coolant in the vehicle on a plus 6500km road trip. The safari is still going strong and performed extremely well at high altitude.
