Here we go, finally, with the #BTS of the #RecordingSessions of Cue 04 from Life, Death and Late Night Tacos by Justin Miller. I hope this video gives you an idea of my thought process when composing and arranging a track. In this case, it’s a rock track with a heavy Hendrix influence. I also spend some time talking about tone and how I use #Amplitube to get as close as possible to the tone of a real #TubeAmp (spoiler alert: you need to play around with it and think as if you were working with a real tube amp). If the simulation is faithful, it’s programmed to respond exactly like the real deal. So, lower that gain, crank the amp to 11 (Spinal Tap style), and let the power amp section do the heavy pulling and work its magic.
