For many years, Helvetic Airways have been operating on behalf of SWISS on their European network. Join me as I fly with them from Oslo to Zürich today onboard their E190-E2. Overall, the flight was quite pleasant. Most passengers were sleeping, thus creating a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. There were also some nice views out of the window, with the weather being clear all the way to Zürich. Other than that, the flight was on time, the crew friendly enough, and the E190-E2 is a modern and quiet aircraft (albeit cramped in Helvetic's configuration). What I don't like about SWISS however, is how much they charge for the onboard food and beverages. I know Switzerland is an expensive country, but charging the equivalent of almost 12€ for a sandwich is insane! I also find it outrageous how they charge 35€ for seat changes during check-in in Economy Light. This is something I'd expect from a low-cost airline, not a supposedly premium airline.
