This hill station in Karnataka is so beautiful!!

Heyyyyyyaaaa my travel addicts & foodie buddies, this video is about Chikmangalur, Karnataka’s gorgeous hill station, which is just a 5-hour drive from Bangalore. The nearest airport through is in Mangalore, which takes 4 hours to reach. The first must visit spot in Chikmangalur is Mullayangiri, Karnataka’s highest peak, which is 6316 ft above sea level. It is part of the Baba Budan Giri range of mountains & has around 500 steps. You can park your car right at the beginning of the staircase. Once you reach the top of Mullayangiri peak, you’ll find a small Shiva temple that is open from 7 am to 7 pm. After finishing the trek, you can get piping hot maggi or juices from the many food stalls present near the parking area. I recommend this trek early morning or pre sunset. Next, we headed to the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, which takes 2 hours from Mullayangiri. On the way, we stopped at a lovely resort called Honey Dewzz for lunch. It was the only decent place we found on Google maps on this route. The Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is home to 30 tigers & 20 leopards as per Karnataka tourism. You can go for a jeep safari or bus ride to spot wild animals thriving in their natural habitat. We were lucky to have spotted elephants, peacocks, a bear, a leopard & deers. If you would like to stay here, there are several jungle lodges & you could also indulge in activities like boating at the Bhadra river. Next day, we went to the Hirekolal Lake, which is a gorgeous sunset point of Chikmangalur with the backdrop of Western Ghat’s mountains. And, you just can’t miss the local coffee when in Chikmangalur! Jayanthi Coffee on MG road is a must visit because it’s India’s first 4D coffee experience bar.
