Exploring Flåm Railway & Gudvangen Viking Village, Norway 4k

Norway is a beautiful country that can surprise even an experienced traveler. In August we went on another road trip with a caravan. This time we decided to choose a popular tourist destination and visit Flåm and Gudvangen. Also on the way, we visited the city of Hemsedal, from where we climbed the mountains to enjoy the view of the majestic Hydnefossen waterfall. This time we were lucky and the waterfall was full and impressive. After all, it is located in a region of Norway where Storm Hans (Ekstremværet Hans) recently raged, destroying houses and washing away roads. On the second day, we visited the Stegastein viewpoint and drove through the rugged Norwegian Highlands, through which the Snow Road (Snøveien) leads, a national tourist road through the Aurlandsfjellet mountain, which leads to the cozy town of Lærdalsøyri. We returned to Flåm through the Lærdalstunnelen, the longest road tunnel in the world. But still, the main goal of our trip was to travel along the most picturesque railway route in Norway. This is exactly what was written in the guidebook about the Flåmsbana Railway! But, as it turned out, to get the most vivid impression you need to take into account some factors, as well as wisely choose a side on the train! After riding the train we made a very fast and extreme descent into the Flåmsdalen valley. At a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, we raced on the longest zipline in Scandinavia - Flåm Zipline. And this was our first zipline experience! Watch the video to find out.. is it the last one or not... :) On the fourth day of the trip, we visited the town of Gudvangen. It is there, on the shore of Norway's narrowest fjord, Nærøyfjord, that the real Viking village of Njardarheimr is located. We not only visited them, but we also learned a lot of important life skills! Then we drove along a picturesque part of the E16 highway and looked at the winding and very steep serpentine Stalheimskleiva and the stormy waterfalls on its sides. But in the end, we still had a disappointing experience of admiring the waterfalls... We will tell you about all this and much more in our video! We gladly invite you to take a ride with us along the Flåm Railway and visit the real Vikings!!! In this video, we will specifically give names of all places and write exact coordinates! After all, we sincerely hope that our tips for travelers to Scandinavia will be useful! If you like the video, be sure to write something kind in the comments.
