Lake Erie Seiche

The phenomena on the Great Lakes that sees water rapidly ride and fall from one end of the Lake to the other is called a Seiche and today we got a good one here at the East end of Lake Erie. We are use to high water levels at this end of the lake so it's quite rare to see a seiche of this magnitude, especially in late Spring. May 28th brought Rain and Snow to many parts of Southern Ontario but the strong North Easterly Winds created the Seiche. I have never seen the levels this low in the 10 years that i have lived here.
